Mrs Adiba Ighodaro was a founding member and Partner of international private equity firm Actis, where over a 30-year career, she established and ran both the Firm’s West Africa investment office and early portfolio in Nigeria (including the Palms Shopping Mall) and later on, its Americas office for investor development and strategic relationships in New York. Mrs Ighodaro managed and raised capital globally for investing across key sectors in growth markets ,including Energy Infrastructure, Real Estate, Consumer and Financial Services. 

Having stepped down from the Actis partnership in early 2021, Mrs Ighodaro now focuses on supporting public and private sector growth and investment activities across borders through senior advisor, investment committee and independent non-executive board roles.

In addition to UK FTSE board roles, Mrs Ighodaro is a non-executive director of Standard Chartered Bank Nigeria and  M-Kopa Holdings Ltd, as well as a former non-executive director of Old Mutual Plc (a former UK FTSE 100). Her advisory roles include being a Senior Advisor Africa to the Global Private Capital Association (GPCA) where she has been a member of its Africa Council for over 10 years, as well as the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute (PPI) where, as a member of its Program Committee, she continues to engage with global asset owner CEOs and CIOs to agree strategic content that informs long term asset allocation decision-making. 

Mrs Ighodaro is a qualified lawyer in both Nigeria and the UK with an ACCA C. Dip. Accounting & Finance. She has been a senior advisor to the Grene Capital team and an investment committee member of its fund since inception.
